Among Fort Gaines and Clay County relatives who attended the funeral in the Wesley Chapel Methodist Church cemetery on January 3rd, were Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Bruner, Mr. and Mrs. Marcus Ragans, Mr. & Mrs. Jene Darby, Mr. and Mrs. T. M. Gray, Miss Ida Cobb, Mr. and Mrs. Gary Bruner, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Britt, John Bruner, Emmett Bruner, Mr. and Mrs. Bill Bruner, Mr. and Mrs. G. D. Torbert, Mrs. Nettie Bruner, Bob Bruner, Mr. and Mrs. Charlie Bruner and family, Mr. and Mrs. Marcene Brooks and family. Accompanying the body from Albany, Ga. were members of Mr. Bruner's immediate family and other relatives residing there. Six cousins of the deceased acted as pall bearers: James Bruner and Lamar Bruner of Albany; Bob Bruner of Fort Gaines; J. T. Bruner, Jack Torbert and John Bruner of Coleman. Rev. M. W. Flanders, pastor of Wesley Chapel, conducted the funeral services. The large attendance of friends and relatives overflowed the main auditorium of the church into the Sunday School room. The floral offerings were numerous and beautiful. Henry Bruner was accidentally killed while hunting near his home in Albany, GA., on January 2nd. He is survived by his wife, the former Miss Gladys Bass of Edison; a son, Lester Bruner; his mother, Mrs. B. D. Bruner of Albany; four sisters, Mrs. J. M. Ragan of Coleman, Miss Dirlie Bruner of Albany, and Miss Helen Bruner of Albany; four brothers, E. W. Bruner, Robert Bruner and Ralph Bruner, all of Albany and Thomas P. Bruner of Edison.
