R. Holloway died at his home in Clay county last Tuesday evening after an illness of four or five days. He was one of the first and most substantial citizens of the county, and held in high esteem by all who knew him. We doubt materially whether Clay county can boast of a more upright and straightforward citizen than Mr. Holloway. He was one of those genial, affiable men, whom to know is to like, and whom to name is to speak in the highest terms of respect and praise. The county can ill afford the loss of such a man, and the community may well regret the loss of such a good neighbor."
