She was about 80 years of age, and bore the reputation of being a most excellent lady. She was the mother of George Findlay and Thomas Morris, both well known here. Owing to the lateness of the hour at which the corpse arrived from Montgomery, at which point the deceased lived, not many of our citizens attended. Rev. D. D. Bateman officiated at the grave."
