Major Fain lived to be a good old age, as he was about 70 years old. He was born and reared in this county; was a consistent member of the Primitive Baptist church, and the writer having known him almost from his boyhood, feels that he can say of a truth, there was not a better man in Clay county. A good man is gone. Peace to his ashes."
