W. A. Carter and W. B. Taliafero, the former died from the effects of being shot twice in the head and also stabbed. Mr. Taliafero was also cut up very badly, and is in a critical condition but we understand that he has a chance of recovery. It seems that the trouble came about between the two men on account of some business matters which went into angry words resulting in the shooting above mentioned."
