FT. GAINES PAPER
Mrs. Susan Hancock, age 98 years, passed away at the Fort Gaines hospital 
Wednesday, Sept. 2nd at 9 P. M. She was stricken with pneumonia several days 
ago.

Funeral services were con ducted Thursday at 5 P. M. from the home of a 
daughter, Mrs. George Coleman, at Fort Gaines, with whom she made ner home. 
The Rev. J. R. Harris, pastor of the Baptist church, conducted funeral ser 
vices. Larry Brown was in charge of the music.

Grandsons acted as pall bearers.

The survivors are Mrs. R. L. Bell of Norfolk, Va., Mrs. Ruth Jennings of 
Atlanta, Carlton Hancock, Los Angeles, Calif.; Bill Hancock, Madison, Fla.; 
and W. S. Hancock, of Monroe, La. and one sister, Mrs. Augustus Sutton 
Bledsoe, of Georgetown, Ga. Interment was at Mt. Vernon Cemetery in Clay 
county, the home of the deceased
