The funeral service will be conducted Tuesday, April 26th at 2:00 PM at Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church near Ft. Gaines. Revs. Jim Walkup and Garth Duke-Darton will officiate. Mrs. McKemie was born April 13, 1941 in Atlanta, daughter of Joseph A. and Janelle Bowen Boudreau. She was a graduate of Grady High School in Atlanta and the University of Georgia, where she met her husband, Hill McKemie who died in 2002. Mrs. McKemie was member of Phi Mu Sorority. Mrs. McKemie was a social worker for the State of Georgia until her retirement in 2003. She was an active member of Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church, where she served as organist and pianist until her death. Beside her parents and husband she was preceded in death by her brother, Fabien Boudreau. Survivors include two sons and their wives, Chris and Stacy McKemie of Dallas, GA and Clay and Catherine McKemie of Alpharetta; and four grandchildren, Alyssa and Emma Willoughby of Dallas and Madison and Payton McKemie of Alpharetta. The family will receive friends today (Monday) from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Lunsford Funeral Home in Cuthbert.
