BATEMAN PUBLISHERS OBITUARY On the evening of December the 12, 1906, as the twilight had faded away the spirit of Mrs. L. I. Meadows took its flight to that home where the weary find rest and the wicked cease from troubling. Sister Meadows was a consecrated Christian woman, and loved her church and attended the services as often as she could, and in her death Enterprise Baptist Church, of which she was a member at the time of her death, has lost a true Christian, her husband a devoted wife, the children a loving mother, and the community a good woman. Therefore bet it resolved, 1st. That we bow in humble submission to Him who "doeth all things well." 2nd. That we commend the life of sister Meadows as one worthy of praise, knowing that she has left an impression for good in her church and community. 3rd. That a copy of these resolutions be spread upon the minutes of the church, also that copies be furnished the Sentinel and Christian Index and a copy sent to the bereaved family. R. G Smith W. W. She was Louisa Terry daughter of John and Elizabeth Terry. Emma Meadows was the daughter of Leonidas and Louisa Terry Meadows. She never married.] Leonidas was the brother of Mary Ann Meadows Chapman wife of Martin D. Chapman and Martha Frances Meadows Chapman wife of Abner Chapman. Martha and Abner moved to Texas.
