He was about seventy years old and had lived most of his life in Clay and Calhoun counties. He was taken a little more than two weeks ago with the sickness tha proved fatal to him. He spent most of his life in the business of farming. He was quiet and unobtrusive in his ways. He leaves a wife and several children wo mourn his death. He was buried at Valulah cemetery the afternoon of Sept. 16th, with Uncle Billie Hammack in charge of the funeral services. Funeral arrangements were in charge of local undertaking establishment. Many friends showed kindness during his sickness and express sympathy for the bereaved ones.
