R. M. Saunders [sic], which occurred at his home in Clay county, on Saturday last. It is supposed by some that a congestive chill was the cause of his death, but others state that it is thought that he was poisoned, as his body showed signs of such. Time will develop the facts.” Additional Comments: Source: Microfilm of Arlington Advance, Calhoun Co Ga newspaper, 5 Dec 1879-16 June 1882 Note by the contributor (Great-granddaughter): Although the newspaper spelled the name "Saunders," the preferred spelling by this family is "Sanders."
