Fort Gaines Sentinel 19 May 1899
“Mrs. M. S. Sanders, an aged and highly respected lady of this county died at 
her home, eight miles east of town, one day this week, after an illness of 
three or four weeks. She was a devout member of the Methodist church, and was a 
most estimable woman.  Her remains were interred at Wesley Chapel.  She leaves 
several grown sons and daughters, among whom is Mrs. E. W. Killingsworth of 
this city city [sic].  We respectfully extend the bereaved ones our sympathy in 
their sorrow.”


Additional Comments:
Note by the contributor (Great-granddaughter):  Mary Susan Greene Sanders (29 
Aug 1839-16 May 1899) was wife of James Richard Madison Sanders (22 Apr 1830-13 
Aug 1881.)  Both are buried at Wesley Chapel Cemetery, Clay Co GA.
