Gaines died Sunday, November 6, 2005, at Ft. Gaines Nursing Home. Graveside funeral services were conducted Monday at 3 p.m. in New Park Cemetery in Ft. Gaines. The Rev. Jeff Hines officiated. Mrs. Wilson was born April 11, 1913, in Clay County, Ga., daughter of the late Brooks Clarence Brown and Floy Olliff Brown. She had lived in Franklin County until returning to Ft. Gaines 30 years ago. Mrs. Wilson was a member of Ft. Gaines Baptist Church and was the wife of the late Sam B. Wilson. Mrs. Wilson was a graduate of Georgia State College for Women and earned her Master's degree from the University of Georgia. She taught math in Athens, Columbus and Franklin County, GA High Schools. She was a Star Teacher for two years. Survivors include two sons, Bill Wilson Sr. and his wife, Liddy of Charlotte, NC, and Jack Wilson and his wife, Carolyn of Tampa, FL; two daughters, Ann McCauley and her husband, Jerry of Franklin County, GA, and Betty Plagens of Eastonelle, GA; a sister, Brooksie Brown of Ft.
