GAINES SENTINEL, MARCH 19 1897 MARRIAGE IN COLEMAN MISS BARBRA HAMMOCK AND MR. B.W. RISH WERE MARRIED THIS TUESDAY AFTERNOON AT 3 PM AT THE HOME OF THE BRIDE’S PARENTS, REV J.S. KNOWLES PERFORMING THE CEREMONY. THE BRIDE IS THE DAUGHTER OF MR. D.W. HAMMOCK, ONE OF OUR LEADING CITIZENS. SHE IS AN ALUMNA OF COX COLLEGE AND IS AN ACCOMPLISHED MUSICIAN. HER CHARMING DISPOSITION HAS DRAWN AROUND HER A WIDE CIRCLE OF FRIENDS AND ADMIRERS WHOSE SINCERE WISHES FOR LONG AND CONTINUED HAPPINESS FOLLOW HER. MR. RISH, BETTER KNOWN AS “BEN” IS THE SON OF MR. W. RISH, PARTNER IN THE FIRM HAMMOCK, RISH & SONS, AND PLANTER ON A LARGE SCALE. HE HAS RECENTLY BEEN ADMITTED TO THE FIRM AND IS A FINE BUSINESS YOUNG MAN. AFTER THE CEREMONY THE YOUNG COUPLE, WITH NUMBEROUS FRIENDS, DROVE TO THE HOUSE OF THE HOUSE OF THE GROOM’S FATHER TO SUPPER. WE ARE INFORMED THAT THEY EXPECT TO COMMENCE HOUSEKEEPING AT ONCE. THE BRIDAL PRESENTS WERE NUMBEROUS AND BEAUTIFUL. MR. J.W. KEMP AND WIFE, FROM OGELTHORPE, AND MRS. G.W. CORAM OF BLUFFTON WERE PRESENT AT THE WEDDING. MRS. KEMP AND MRS. CORAM ARE BOTH SISTERS OF THE GROOM. AMONG THE OTHERS PRESENT FROM A DISTANCE WERE MISS MINNIE KILLINGSWORTH, MR.
