Savannah, Ga., November 21.A beautiful wedding: and one of deep Interest to the society of Sa vannah and Athens, as well as other places in Georgia, was that tonight of Miss Augusta Wood and Mr. Charles DuBose, of Athens. The wedding took place at the residence of the parents of the bride, Mr. and Mrs. James l. Wood, at No. 803 Whitaker street. The ceremony, which was attended by but a few of the relatives and closest friends, was at 8:30 o’clock in the long drawing room, which was beautifully decorated in white, lilies of the valley predominating. The ceremony was performed by Rev. Dr. W. L. Pickard, pastor of the First Baptist church. The bridesmaids were Miss Louise DuBose, sister of the groom; Miss Harriet Francis Gray, of Atlanta, and the maid of honor was Miss Rosalie Wood, sister of the bride. Mr. Well born DuBose was best man, a brother of the groom, and the groomsmen were Mr. James Camak and Mr. Louis Camak. cousins of the groom, all of Athens. The bridesmaids wore dainty gowns of princesse lace and carried pink bouquets. The maid of honor was lovely in a white gown of fillet lace, trimmed with real lace. The bride wore satin majestic, beautifully hand-embroidered In pearls, with the yoke and corsage trimmed in rare old rose point. She carried a bouquet of lilies of the valley and orchids. A largely attended reception was held after the ceremony, the bridal couple leaving later for their wedding trip. They will reside at Athens, the home of the groom.
