P. Jones and J. E. Jones of the County and State aforesaid, party of the first part[y] is held and bound unto L. A. Watters party of the second part, his heirs and assigns, in the penal sum of Forty Two Hundrend & Fifty ($4250.00) Dollars, for the payment of which well and truly to be made, the said party of the first party hereby bind himself, heirs, executors and administrators, jointly, severally and firmly by these presents, signed with his hand [his] and sealed with ___ seal, this July 29th day of ___ in the our Lord One Thousand Nine Hundred and 19. THE CONDITION of the foregoing obligation is, That whereas the said party of the first part has this day agreed to sell the said party of the second part, a certain part, tract or parcel of land situated, lying and being in 13th District of Originally Henry now Clayton County being part of lots No One hundred Forty Two (142) & One Hundred & Forty Three (143) of said Dist More particularly described as follows Comencing at a point on East Side of Atlanta & Jonesboro at SouthWest corner of land ownerd by William Parker along line of line of said Parker running Easterly 1889 feet thence Southardly along Creek 716 feet thence North 690 feet thence S Easterly 125 feet thence Southeasterly 179 feet to Smith land thence Westwardly 2227 feet to Atlanta & Jonesboro road at a point 889 Southeaswardly to begining Point containing 35 acres, more or less for the consideration or sum of Four Thousand Two Hundred and Fifty (4250.00) Dollars, said sum to be paid as follows One Hundred Dollars Cash ($100.00 Dollars this day paid, the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged: Four Thousand One Hundred & Fifty Dollars ($4150.00) to be Paid Jan 1st 1920 Possession to be given Jan 1st 1920 for which deferred payments the said party of the second part has given his promissory notes, dated this day bearing interest at the rate of ___ per cent, per annum from this date until paid, and stipulating that said party of the second part shall pay attorney's fees and cost of suit, should suit be instituted. Now if the party of the second part shall well and truly pay the said several sums of money at the times specified, then the said party of the first part[y] is bound to make and execute to the party of the second part or his assigns a good and sufficient title to the above described lot or parcel of land; but on failure of the said party of the second part to pay the said sums of money or either or them at the times specified, then the said obligation to be void and of no effect.
