J.W. Henderson, Carpenter, Dies
J. W. Henderson Sr., 65, a carpenter, of 956 Fells Avenue S.W. died Wednesday 
at a private hospital.
He is survived by his wife Allie; five daughters, Mrs. Sara Starrett, Chicago, 
Mrs. W.P. Jordan, Ft. Lauderdale, FL. and Misses Jewell, Jeanne and Louise 
Henderson, Atlanta; three sons, J.W. Henderson, Jr. Hewell Henderson of the 
Army, in England, and W.A. Henderson, Atlanta; four sisters Mrs. C.G. Odom and 
Mrs. Vash Parr, Atlanta; Mrs. Mattie Chancey, Hapeville, and Mrs. Ida Sanders, 
Ellenwood, and two grand children.
Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Friday at the Rock Creek Baptist 
Church.  The Rev. Bill Allison and the Rev. Father Harkness will officiate.  
Burial will be in the churchyard.
