Tante Funeral Home    September  2008
Cusseta – Timothy Stanton Walker, 19, died Thursday, September 11, 2008 from a 
genetic heart defect.

Funeral services were held Monday, September 15, at 5 p.m. at the First 
Baptist Church of Cusseta. Officiating were Rev. Ken and Kathryn Vanhorn and 
Lee Halvorson. Pallbearers were Josh Thompson, Robby and Joey Corrals, Jared 
Henderson, Robby Moore, and Michael and Kyle Walker. Interment was followed in 
Harmony (Upper) Cemetery in Cusseta. The family received friends Sunday at 
Tante Funeral Home in Buena Vista, GA from 6 to 8.

Timmy was born November 16, 1988 in Clayton County, GA to Troy Dean and Dedra 
Milam Walker and had lived in Cusseta all his life until recently moving to 
Columbus. He had been baptized in First Baptist Church and was a member of My 
Father’s House church in Cusseta. He was employed by Dasher Enterprises but 
had also worked as a finish carpenter, which gave him great enjoyment. He had 
a passion for music and expressed it by playing the drums at church and in 
bands. He was loved and will be missed by so many.

Survivors include his father Troy Walker of Charleston, WV; his mother Dedra 
Walker and Maury Kinzer of Cusseta; brothers Michael Walker of Cusseta and 
Kyle Walker of Charleston; grandparents Larry Walker of Charleston and Carolyn 
and George Becker of Lookout, WV;  and a nephew Ayden Walker. He is also 
survived by his fiance Mary Greene and mother-in-law-to-be, Kelley LaPlante. 
He was preceded in death by grandparents Kay Halvorson and Thomas Milam.

In lieu of flowers, friends may wish to make contributions to his funeral fund 
in care of Tante Funeral Home, P.O. Box 382, Buena Vista, GA 31803.
