 Mr. Max Frank Foster, 69, passed away Wednesday, September 17, 2008 at South 
Georgia Medical Center.
 Mr. Foster was born October 29, 1938 to the late Robert Harold Foster and 
Mable Sheppard Foster. He was a retired Veteran of the US Navy working in 
Electronics and Communications and a member of the VFW, the Navy Retired 
Officers Association and Normandy United Methodist Church of St. Louis, MO. Mr. 
Foster was preceded in death by two brothers, Robert Foster and Johnny Foster 
and sister, Mary Florence Foster.
 Survivors are his wife, Mary Jo Steedley Foster of Homerville; son and 
daughter in law, Robert and Carrie Foster of Jeffersonville, VT; granddaughter, 
Kate Elizabeth Foster of Jeffersonville, VT; step-daughter and son in law, Dawn 
and Howard Slocomb of Homerville; sister-in-law, Jane Helms of Homerville; 
nephew and niece-in-law, Jeff and Cathy Helms of DuPont; great nephew, Jack 
Helms, III of DuPont; and several other relatives.
 Memorials services for Mr. Foster were held Saturday, September 20, 2008 at 11 
at the Homerville United Methodist Church.
 Interment followed at the Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery in St.Louis, MO.
 Roundtree Funeral Home is serving the Foster family.
