Mrs. Gilley was born February 28, 1928, in Berrien County to the late Newton and Geneva Kirkland Young. She was a homemaker and a member of the Shiloh Southern Congregational Methodist Church for 40 plus years and the Ladies Prayer Band. She was preceded in death by her first husband,Rayder Isaac, and her second husband, Lamar Gilley; one daughter, Carol Wetherington; grandson, Chad; one great-grandson, Ethan; one step-great-grandson, Devin; one brother, Carroll Young; and one infant sister. Survivors include four daughters and sons-in-law, Mary Lou and Duell Stone of Nashville, Patricia and Wayne Jones of Modesto, CA, Wanda and James Delmar Adams of Homerville, and Martha and Wendell Booth of Lakeland; one son and daughter- in-law, Rev. Danny and Martha Ann Isaac of Homerville; son-in-law and wife, Quinn and Terri Wetherington of Moultrie; two stepdaughters and stepsons-in-law, Wanda and Rev. Jimmy Futch and Carolyn and Joe Sherrod, all of Homerville; one brother and sister-in-law, Rev. James and Jean Young of Lakeland; one sister, Sara Y. Lucas of Valdosta; 14 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren; five great- great-grandchildren, five step-grandchildren; several step-great-grandchildren; several step-great-great-grandchildren, several nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends. Funeral services for Mrs. Gilley were held November 3 at 2 p.m. at Shiloh Southern Congregational Methodist Church. Interment was in Shiloh Church Cemetery. Roundtree Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
