Mrs. Shaw was born April 28, 1921, in Homerville to the late Dewey Smith and Nancy Ola Highsmith Smith. She was a member of the New Pine Grove Southern Congregational Methodist Church. Mrs. Shaw was retired as the manager of the lunchroom at the Clinch County Junior High School and was a member of the Eastern Star. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert L. Shaw, Sr., one son, Sed Shaw, four brothers: Haskel Smith, Grover Smith, Lois Smith and D.O. Smith and one son-in-law: Raymond J. Stone. Survivors are one daughter: Marilee Stone, Alapaha; one son and daughter-in-law: Robert L. and Nancy Shaw, Jr., Homerville; one sister and brother law: Robert L. and Nancy Shaw, Jr., Homerville; one sister and brother-in-law: D Dorothy and Earnie Wilson, Homerville; one brother: Sedgewick Smith, H Homerville; eight grandchildren: Chantell (Terron) Stonecypher, Nashville, M Michelle (Mark) Barton, Tifton, Misty (Jermey) Hyers, Alapaha, Kerri Lynne ( (Jim) Lytle, Harker Heights, Texas, Kyle Shaw, Brandi Shaw, both of Homerville, J Jimbo Cox, Savannah and Lavelle Rigdon, Homerville; seventeen great g grandchildren: Luke Stonecypher, Seth Stonecypher, Joel Stonecypher, Morgan B Barton, Christian Hyers, Raylee Hyers, Kylee Shaw, Zachary Shaw, Aaren Newburn, R Reanna Stoker, Joel Stoker, Brantli Geuea, Hali Rigdon, Lara Rigdon, Gabriel R Rigdon, Dustin Cox and Kailey Cox; one great great grandchild, Ainsley Brook S Stonecypher; one aunt: Alma Hinson, Homerville; special friends: Carl and C Connie Shell, Homerville, several nieces, nephews and other relatives. Services for Mrs. Shaw will be held Monday, May 30, 2011 at three o’clock from t from the New Pine Grove Southern Congregational Methodist Church. Internment will be in the New Pine Grove Church Cemetery. Active pallbearers were Kyle Shaw, Luke Stonecypher, Seth Stonecypher, Joel Ston Stonecypher, Terron Stonecypher, Mark Barton. Honorary pallbearers were ladies of the Eastern Star. The family will receive friends Sunday, May 29, 2011 from 7 till 9 p.m. at th the funeral home.
