In 1938 he moved from Douglas, GA to Apalchicola where he worked as a banker. He moved to Port St. Joe in 1939 first working for St Joe Paper Company, then owning and operating Tomlinson's Gulf Station. After his retirement he actively pursued his hobby of carpentry and woodworking. He was a member of Lodge 111, and F&AM. Survivors include his wife, Evelyn of Port St Joe, his children, Phil Tomlinson and wife Marylin of Panama City, Celia Price and husband Norman of Wylie, Texas, Rosemary Tomlinson of Port St Joe, Brenda broadbent of Bradenton, FL, 9 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren and a brother Alton Tomlinson of Savannah, GA.Funeral services were held at 11 am Tuesday from the graveside in Holly Hill Cemetery, conducted by the Rev.
