Most all the Sunday Schools in the country were represented. Mr J M STONE, ex-sheriff McLAIN and Col W R POWER of Marietta, also several other prominent gentlemen from Atlanta, were there shaking hands with friends. A large crowd of our society gentlemen and ladies left Tuesday for Saltpeter Cave to hunt, fish, view the scenery and spoon a little. They will be gone some two or three days. The crowd was chaperoned by Editor R B WALKER and wife and Mrs Kansas LITCHFIELD. Miss Clara FOWLER of Noonday is in town visiting friends and relatives. Mr L O LITCHFIELD, express messenger on East and West Road, who has been at his home here sick for several days, is able to be up. Uncle Caleb BAKER, who has been confined to his bed for several months past, was seen out on the streets Tuesday. All his old friends are glad to see him out once more. Mr Alfred NORTHCUTT, one of our oldest citizens, is almost past going with rheumatism. Hope he will soon be well. Ex-Mayor J B NORTHCUTT and Jim COOPER, of this place, are off on a fishing frolic. Rev Dr THOMAS of Atlanta filled his pulpit here last Sunday. Miss Nell BUSH, an accomplished young lady, is visiting the Misses WATSON. Everything is so dry and dusty in the city that all the news and excitement have disappeared. - Sager File at: http://files.usgwarchives.net/ga/cobb/newspapers/acworthc193nnw.txt This file has been created by a form at http://www.genrecords.net/gafiles/ File size: 2.0 Kb
