Rev E M DYER performed the ceremony in his usual impressive manner. Mr R A EVATT was best man and Miss Kate HUFFAKER maid of honor. The bride is lovely and accomplished and noted for her musical talents. The groom is a popular and successful lawyer. The happy couple left immediately for Nashville to visit the Exposition, after which they will return to Acworth and occupy a beautiful residence of the grooms on Main street. Allison JOHNSON was ordained for the ministry Sunday morning at eleven o'clock by Revs. DYER and McCOY. Rev A B VAUGHN, of Canton, preached the ordination sermon. Miss Eunice McGRIFF of Smyrna is visiting Rev and Mrs A J MORGAN. Lightning struck Mr George LEMON's barn Sunday afternoon and killed a fine Jersey cow. Dr and Mrs A J DURHAM entertained a few of the young people delightfully on last Friday evening at their beautiful little cottage on --------- (unreadable). Miss Clifford GOODWYNE of Barnesville is the guest of Mrs E M BAILEY. Mr and Mrs E W WILLIAMS of Marietta spent Sunday in the city.
