She was the daughter of Mr Joe TANNER, a prosperous farmer of this county. The funeral services were conducted on Sunday afternoon by Rev G T BOURNE, after which she was laid to rest in the city cemetery. She leaves a husband and four children to mourn their loss. MARRIED - On Sunday afternoon, Mr Thomas L COLLINS and Mrs Alice KENDRICK were united in marriage by Rev G T BOURNE. The engagement, not being announced, was known, only to the parents of the happy couple, until Sunday, when they drove to the Presbyterian manse and were married. The groom is a salesman in the firm of Awtrey Bros., and is genial and popular. The bride is amiable and beautiful, and possesses all those charming qualities that adorn lovely womanhood. Miss Carrie GREGG, who has been visiting in the Gem City, returned home Saturday. Miss Sarah Lou ARNWINE, of Tennessee, is the guest of Mrs James R LEMON.
