She had been sick for quite a while and her death was not unexpected. She was a member of the Methodist church and lived a consistent christian life. The funeral services were conducted at the Baptist church Monday afternoon by Revs WOOD and DYER, after which her remains were laid to rest in the city cemetery. She leaves a husband and four children and many friends to mourn her death. Protracted services are being held at the Baptist church, conducted by the pastor, Rev E M DYER. The attendance has been large, and much interest is being manifest. Mr P C CARNES and wife and Miss Mattie McDOWELL returned Saturday from Lithia Springs, where they spent several days. Miss Mae SMITH of Dalton is in the city, the guest of Miss Lizzie CARNES. Rev A J JOHNSON of this city will take charge as principal of the Flovilla High School in September. He is a graduate of Mercer and thoroughly qualified to fill the position, and the trustee of the school made a wise selection in securing his services. - Dixie File at: http://files.usgwarchives.net/ga/cobb/newspapers/acworthc214nnw.txt This file has been created by a form at http://www.genrecords.net/gafiles/ File size: 1.7 Kb
