ACWORTH

Prof ORR has been elected principal of the Euharlee Institute.

Miss Kate HUFFAKER has again resumed her duties as assistant teacher in Acworth
high school.

Miss Tilar BAKER, who has been the guest of Miss Goldie NORTHCUTT, returned to
her home in Cartersville last week.

Mr and Mrs D D BARRETT have issued cards to the marriage of their daughter,
Sarah Isabella, to Mr Daniel Humphries COLLINS, to occur Wednesday evening
September the fourteenth at the Christian church.

Miss Mae TERRELL, who has been the guest of Mrs G W GROGAN, returned to her home
in Smyrna last week.

Mrs D G STOKELY has returned from a delightful visit to her brother, Ex-Governor
NORTHEN of Atlanta.

Miss Mary BARKER of Rome is the guest of Mrs G S AVERY.

Mrs S A McDOWELL and daughter, Miss Mattie, have returned from Indian Springs.

Miss Mattie BADGET of Atlanta is visiting her sister, Mrs M M PHILLIPS.

The friends of Mrs John AVERY will regret to learn that she is ill of typhoid
fever at her home on Dallas street.

Mrs Sam HULL, who has been visiting her sister Mrs J B NORTHCUTT, has returned
to Atlanta.

Master Rodgers LEMON is attending school in Decatur.

Miss Mae TREBBLE has returned from a delightful visit to friends in Atlanta.

Eugene McDOWELL has accepted a position with the "Piedmont Farmer," edited in
Rome by Rev J T GIBSON.

Mr and Mrs Nat GUISTER (* sic), of Atlanta, were guest of her mother, Mrs
TIPPIN, on Sunday.

Mr F M DURHAM of Cartersville spent Sunday in the city with his sons A J and C G
DURHAM.
