Dr and Mrs A J REED visited relatives at Woodstock last week. Col Virgil JONES and family have moved back to Atlanta. Dr and Mrs W C HUMPHRIES moved into the ARMSTRONG house on Main street Monday. Will BARRETT of Macon spent Sunday in the city with the family of D D BARRETT. Mr and Mrs D H COLLINS gave an informal reception last Wednesday evening in honor of a few of their friends. The house was beautifully decorated in chrysanthemums for the occasion, which was, indeed, an enjoyable one. Games were indulged in until a late hour, after which delightful refreshments were served. Those present were: E W LEMON with Miss Florence WATSON, Will LOGAN with Miss Mary McDOWELL, Claud McMILLAN with Miss Ella KITCHEN, Clayton LEMON with Miss Idelle COLLINS, and Raymond McEVER. Miss Leila DURHAM of Cartersville is visiting Dr and Mrs A J DURHAM. Miss Ida McWIKLE of Cartersville was the guest of Miss Lois BARRETT last week. One of the most delightful social events of the season was the Halo'een party given on Tuesday evening by Misses Mattie and Hattie MITCHELL at their father's beautiful residence on Oak Hill. The affair throughout was conducted with that grace and case so characteristic of these popular young ladies who left nothing undone that could add to the enjoyment of those present. Quite a while was spent in playing "ye old time" games, telling fortunes, etc., after which the guests were invited into the dining room, where dainty and delightful refreshments were served. Those present were: Misses Julia STRICKLAND, Florence WATSON, Lula DURHAM, Mattie and Mary McDOWELL, Ella KITCHEN, Lois BARRETT, Kate HUFFAKER, Idelle COLLINS, Lizzie LOGAN. Prof AWTREY, Messrs, W E and C S LEMON, John S COLLINS, Jack CLARK, Mark GOODWIN, Chas RAINEY, Will LOGAN, C R McEVER. - Dixie ACWORTH Mr George McEVER is smiling over a fine girl at his house. Mr Henry GOODWIN is going to move to his farm to the sorrow of some of our young men. Dr Will HUMPHRIES has been caught in Cupid's net. Mr WILLS in going to move to town. Joe ABBOTT is attending school at Euharlee. N E W STOKELY was down last week to visit his father. Miss Willa HOUSE of Dallas, Texas, visited Mrs Eli B GREEN last week, also Mrs A J PAINE, of Fairview.
