From the Marietta Journal dated Thursday, March 15 1906:

ACWORTH

W T McEVER has returned home after spending the winter in Florida.

W R COWAN and family of Chattanooga are visiting the family of J O HILLY.

Capt and Mrs J L LEMON visited their daughter, Mrs Sandy SMITH, in Cedartown
last week.

Mrs S B RAINEY is visiting relatives in Atlanta and Smyrna.

Mrs Octavia HUMPHRIES is visiting relatives in Rome.

Mrs J C MacMAHAN of Athens is visiting Mrs CLAYTON near here.

Mr and Mrs Hiram GOODWIN of Atlanta are visiting relatives in Acworth.

Mr and Mrs GUY of Opelika, Ala., are visiting their daughter, Mrs O L KELLEY here.

Miss Ruby EVATT has gone to Baltimore to buy the millinery stock for Orlando
Awtrey & Sons.

Miss Maggie LUNSFORD died at her home here last Sunday morning at five o'clock
and was buried Monday afternoon.  The funeral services were conducted by Rev O L
KELLEY at the Methodist church.  She was the daughter of Mr and Mrs T J
LUNSFORD, and was of a most amiable disposition.  The grief stricken family have
the sympathy of the entire community.
