ACWORTH

Mr and Mrs Alex C SMITH of Atlanta visited their sister, Mrs R M MITCHELL,
Saturday and Sunday.

Mrs J J C McMAHAN of Athens visited Mrs C C CLAYTON the past week.

Misses Ruth MARKS of Augusta and Hattie BYRD of Lawrenceville are visiting Miss
Louise AWTREY.

Mrs John AWTREY of Marietta visited Mrs Bird RAINEY last week.

Mrs R P BAIRD and Miss Deldee spent a few days in Atlanta the past week.

Mrs Wayne FARRIS of Atlanta is visiting Mrs SMITHSON.

Mrs W J TAPP of Powder Springs is visiting Mrs E R BATE.

Miss Lillian McDOWELL of Atlanta visited Miss Nettie Belle McMILLAN during the
past week.

Misses Mary REYNOLDS and Maggie McMILLAN have returned from a visit to Ringgold.

Rev E D PATTON, the newly elected pastor of the Presbyterian Church, arrived in
the city Saturday.

Mrs W T BAILEY has returned from a visit to Kingston.

Miss Marjorie WILKES of Atlanta spent Sunday with Miss Lula MITCHELL.

Mr Eugene W RAY is visiting friends in Henderson, Tenn.

Mr Jack ABBOTT of Cartersville visited Mr and Mrs M J ABBOTT, of this place, the
past week.

Misses Mattie and Hattie MITCHELL entertained a number of their friends Saturday
afternoon.  A musical program was rendered, the Declaration of Independence
read, and a little quiz regarding statesmen of the Revolutionary period was a
part of the entertainment.  Refreshments were served.  Favors consisting of
small United States flags were given.  The ladies present were Mesdames E M
BAILEY, J A REED, W M WEBB, W C HUMPHRIES, C G DURHAM, D H COLLINS, G I REECE, J
Q and C C ADAMS, H B TERRY, M J ABBOTT, J A McEVER, Penn MITCHELL, Wayne FARRIS,
of Atlanta, Misses K and L LOGAN, Margaret and Florence WATSON, Maybelle and
Nell JOHNSON, Nolla BARRETT, Louise BATE and Mattie McDOWELL, of Atlanta.
