The funeral service was conducted Sunday afternoon and burial in the Acworth cemetery. Mrs SMITH was more than eighty years old and is survived by four daughters and one son, a large number of grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. Mr FOUNTAIN, an honored Confederate veteran, died Saturday night at the home of his daughter, Mrs Jesse McCOY. Mr FOUNTAIN had been in ill health for some time. The interment was at New Hope Monday morning at ten o'clock. Mr FOUNTAIN is survived by several children and grandchildren and one or two great-grandchildren. Mr and Mrs HARLING of Taylorsville and Mr and Mrs G Z VANCE of Cedartown were week-end guests of relatives in Acworth. Miss Eugenia MITCHELL of Atlanta, Miss Ray MITCHELL of Monroe, and Mr R M MITCHELL of Atlanta were week-end guests of their parents. Miss Dona BAILEY of Atlanta spent the week-end with her mother. Rev James McMILLAN of Gainesville, Fla., and Chattanooga, Tenn., is the guest of relatives. Mrs (sic) R S TIPPIN is planning another great sale on his stock farm here. About a year ago Mr TIPPIN's sale of fine cows brought buyers to Acworth from all over the south, and many states in the west. Mr H L JOHNSON of Woodstock spent Sunday with Acworth friends. Among those called to Acworth by Mr (sic) A SMITH's death were: Mr and Mrs Cliff COLLINS of Cedartown; Mrs A WILLIAMS of Atlanta; Mr and Mrs Ed WILLIAMS and sons of Milledgeville.
