She had been a sufferer from cancer for some time. We extend our sympathy to the bereaved husband and relatives in their great loss. Mrs N A Durham's mother, Mrs Alexander, also died last week. Her death was not unexpected, as she had been suffering with dropsy for some time. Both were interred at Mars Hill cemetery. Misses Leon Awtrey and Ida Collins were at home from LaGrange to spend the holidays. Rev A J Morgan and wife are spending the holidays in South Carolina. Mrs Susie Green, of Fair Mound, Ala., is visiting her father Mr Nathan Durham. Mr and Mrs Eli B Green had a family Christmas tree, and it was marvel to understand how Old Santa got down the chimney with such a load, but he works in a mysterious way his wonders to perform. Mrs Sam and Mrs Calvin Orr arrived here from Texas on the 22d ult., and will remain for some time, visiting relatives and friends. We are glad to welcome them back to old Georgia once more. Prof George Orr and family of Euharlee are visiting relatives here. Mr Ralph Kelpin was up from Atlanta to spend the holidays. The marriage of Miss Idelle Collins and Mr G C Durham on the 20th ult., was performed at the Baptist church by Rev E M Dyer. It was a beautiful wedding. There is no more popular couple in Acworth, and all wish them much happiness. - Observer File at: http://files.usgwarchives.net/ga/cobb/newspapers/acworthn852gnw.txt This file has been created by a form at http://www.genrecords.org/gafiles/ File size: 2.0 Kb
