ACWORTH

Mr and Mrs J H Northcutt and Mrs Wilson of Battle Hill are visiting Messrs J J
Northcutt and J L Nichols' families.

Miss Ora Hilburn, who has been visiting Misses Kitchen, left for Atlanta last
Tuesday.

Mrs E M Kendrick of Plains, who has been visiting her parents here, went to
Marietta last Tuesday to spend a few days with her sister, Mrs John Awtrey,
before returning home.

Miss Daisy Adams of Atlanta is visiting the family of Mrs Alice Adams.

Mrs Wayne Farris of Atlanta is visiting her mother, Mrs Smithson, here.

Mr and Mrs E L Litchfield are spending a few days with Mrs M K Williams at the
Litchfield House.

Miss Clara Williams has returned from a visit to Sharon.

Mr and Mrs A C Hambrick, who have been stopping at the Litchfield House, have
gone to Atlanta for awhile before returning to their home in Jacksonville, Fla.

Mrs A J Durham and mother, Mrs J B Connally, visited friends in Cartersville
last week.

Mrs H B Searight has returned from an extended visit to relatives in Tennessee.

Mrs E M Dyer is visiting her parents in Calhoun.

Miss Kate Logan is visiting her uncle, Mr R E Lawhon, in Marietta.

Miss Ruby Maddox, who has been visiting relatives here, has returned to Atlanta.

Misses Lula, Ray, and Genie Mitchell have returned from a visit to Atlanta.

Col and Mrs W R Power were in Acworth Friday.  Col Power visited the Cobb county
schools near here, and Mrs Power met with the ladies of the Foreign Missionary
Society of the Methodist Church, at Mrs Webb's, in the afternoon.

Mrs Mollie Cooper of Chattanooga is visiting friends here.

Mr Geo. I Reece and family are visiting relatives in Gainesville.

Mr L A Rainey and family, Mrs S B Rainey, Miss Della Wills and Messrs H B Cowen
and Orlando Awtrey Jr are on a camping trip at Tallulah Falls.

The funeral of Eccles McLain was held at Mars Hill last Sunday before an immense
crowd of relatives and friends.  Eccles died in Pensacola, Fla., Friday, August
26.  Dr C F McLain of Calhoun went to Florida and accompanied the remains to
Acworth. 

Mrs Geo. T Northcutt returned home last week after a visit to her parents here.
