Marietta Journal February 14, 1919
From the Marietta Journal dated Friday, February 14 1919:

AUSTELL

Mis Margaret SMITH entertained quite a number of her friends at a birthday party
last Thursday.  Prizes were given for the best verse written to Margaret.  They
were won by Miss Rosa TURNER and Willie DAVIS, after many interesting games,
delicious refreshments were served and they all wished Margaret many happy
returns of the day.

Miss Essie WARE has returned from a visit to relatives in Dublin, Ga.

Miss Annie Ella MOZELEY of Atlanta was a week-end guest of Miss Maggie MOZELEY.

Mr J B HUMPHRIES and Miss Ruth HUMPHRIES have returned from a trip to
Jacksonville, Fla.

Miss Mary DAVIS of Marietta spent the week-end with her parents, Mr and Mrs W P
DAVIS.

Miss Ophelia BANKS spent the weekend with home folks in Atlanta.

The many friends of Mrs Mabelle ROBINSON will be grieved to hear of her death,
which occurred at her home near Lost Mountain on February 7th.  We extend our
heartfelt sympathy to the bereaved family.

Mr and Mrs L A DOGGEN left last week for Thomaston, Ga., where they will make
their future home.
