From the Marietta Journal dated Thursday, April 16 1908:

CONCORD

Rev G S BOND filled his regular appointment here Sunday.

Mr M L DANIELL and family of Mableton visited Mr Oscar McKENNEY's family Sunday.

Mrs H B REED visited her sister, Mrs J L JAMES of Atlanta, last week.

Mrs J R DEAN is improving.

MACLAND

Mr Jeff STEWART of Jones county, who is attending the college, happened to a
painful but not serious accident last week while cutting wood he cut his foot. 
Dr MIDDLEBROOKS gave immediate attention and he is doing well.

Mr J M PITTMAN and little son, Marion, of Riverside spent last week with her
mother, Mrs BABB.

We are sorry to note that Mrs Kate PETTY has been quite sick for the past few
days but is some better now.

Mr H H CLAY and family spend Sunday in Douglasville with relatives.

Miss Maud THOMAS, one of the college girls, spent Saturday and Sunday in Atlanta
visiting her sister.

Mrs Sarah DAVIS and daughter, Miss Josie, of Cedartown was here Saturday
stopping with friends.

Mr Burtice HUFF of Dallas spent Sunday here visiting one of our sweetest young
ladies.
