They have more corn, more meat and more money, and are well fixed up for living at home. Their idea is to raise everything to live on at home and make cotton the surplus crop, and I think they are about right. Mr Lee Bishop's little girl, 3 years old, knows all the letters in the alphabet and can spell and pronounce. The singing at the residence of Frank Megarity's last Sunday evening was highly enjoyed by all. We have a flourishing Sunday School at this place. Rev J M Burgess preached an interesting sermon to a large and attentive congregation last Sunday at this place. Prayer meeting at this place next Sunday at 3 pm. Mr Charlie Power's daughter is very low with fever. Mr John Bowler killed 76 very large rats one day last week. Miss Ella Haygood is teaching music at the home of Mr Cicero Haygood. Mrs Isaac Sewell, who has been very sick, is improving.
