Our community was much saddened by the death of Mr B R Legg. He was a great friend to the people of the country, and they will miss his pleasant face and hearty handshake when they go to town. Prof J J Daniell, formerly of this place, is teaching school at Oak Hurst. Next Saturday and Sunday, March 6 and 7, is our regular preaching days, and we hope all who have not heard our pastor, Rev Fred W McCleskay, will come out. We are sure you will never regret it, for he is a very earnest, able preacher, and will interest the most unconcerned. Mrs Burrell Pilgrim has a very bad cancer on her face, which is liable to prove serious. Rev I N Moon and wife visited relatives near Smyrna last week. Miss Addie Babb has returned home from Atlanta where she has been spending a few months with her aunt, Miss Lizzie McEachern. Miss Eddie Green has returned home after spending a week with the family of Mr A A Griggs. Mr E N Davenport and family visited relatives in Marietta last Sunday.
