Mr Geo. Harner, a traveling optician, who has been here for several weeks, left last week. Mr Harner had quite a severe attack of mumps while here, but then he was in style as the mumps have gone the rounds of late. Miss Sue Lew Moore of Atlanta is visiting friends and relatives in town this week. Mr O E Collum, one of our industrious and hustling merchants, is visiting his parents at Tilton, Ga., this week. Miss Rolla Barrett, who has been teaching school close the Tennessee line, has closed her school and returned home for a few month's vacation and recreation. Mr Charlie Hull of Atlanta visited friends and relatives here last Sunday. Mr Ralph Kelpin visited Roswell Monday. Dr W C Humphries who has been in New York for the past few months is expected home in a few days. Dr Geo. Smith has bought the Dr Roberts place and has moved into it. Mr Sid Rainey of Chattanooga is here on a visit. Mrs Smith Lemon, who has been quick sick, is improving. Mr John Pratber has moved his family to Atlanta. Dr Geo. Smith and Col J J Northcutt made a business trip to Dallas Tuesday. Mr Luther Armstrong, an old Acworth boy, but now of Allatoona, was in town Monday. Rev Mr Reager of Winder is holding a protracted meeting at the Christian Church this week. Mr Jarman, of Paulding county, who had his whole family poisoned several days ago, and which resulted in the death of one of his little children, is working hard to find out who gave the poison. It was given in coffee.
