Mrs J R Guffin is spending a few days with her daughter, Mrs Ida Adair. Preparations are in progress for the entertainment at the Acworth Institute at close of school. Hilton Nichols, Melvin Abbott and Forrest Green have measles. Mrs Dr Bailey attended the Ladies' Missionary Convention in Washington, Ga., last week. Dr Will Humphries left for Paris to attend the Exposition and will be absent several weeks. The Christian church, destroyed by fire last year, is being rebuilt. - Observer LOST MOUNTAIN That which is everybody's business is certainly nobody's business. Chopping cotton is the order of the day. Rain is much needed at this writing. Mr Oscar Cotton and family of Powder Springs were the guest of W P Ward last Sunday. Mr Green Cochran and wife are visiting relatives in Douglas. Mr Pink Bagby and wife visited their daughter near Villa Rica Saturday and Sunday. The Excelsior Society meets next Saturday night.
