I am told that the marriageable young women of our town are so beset by the several widowers residing here that they dare not meet them on the street or other places, for fear they will be required to say yes or no then and there. Rev Mr Brown filled the pulpit at the Presbyterian church last Sunday. Rev Tom Morgan preached to the inmates of the Alms House last Sunday afternoon. Messrs Frank and Percy Neufville and mother of Vinings spent Sunday with friends in our town. Several of our young folks attended the singing at Olive Springs last Sunday. Rev Mr Pise conducted evening prayer service at the Methodist church Sunday. - Oritic HARDAGE Mrs Mollie Newton has returned to her home in Jasper county, after visiting the family of Mr W P Hardage. Mrs I P Runyan is visiting her daughter, Mrs Ida Anondale, in Atlanta. Her little grand-daughter, Edna, returning with her, who has been visiting them for some time. We are sorry to note the sickness of Mrs W M Boatner. Dr Runyan and wife and sister, Miss Jewel, of Austell are visiting the family of Mr I P Runyan. - Carnation OCTAVIA We are needing rain in this town very badly. Miss Ethel Born of Atlanta is visiting her uncle, Judge Born, of Red Rock. Miss Beulah Scott has returned home after a pleasant visit with friends in Marietta. Mr Thos Scott has been visiting relatives in Cedartown. He speaks of renting his farm and moving to that town.
