Mrs Isadore Newman of Sandersville visited Mrs W C Humphries last week. She returned home Friday. Miss Nettie Lou Lunsford is visiting her sister Mrs Weldon at Innman, Ga. Miss Belle Hunter returned to Smyrna after a two weeks visit to her sister, Mrs Sidney Rainey. Miss Ida Collins of Dallas was visiting here Saturday. Miss Kate Logan returned to Greensboro Monday to resume her duties in school there. Miss Nolla Barrett left for Clarkston Saturday to take charge of the school there. Mrs D D Barrett and Miss Jane Smith are visiting their brother in Chamblee this week. Mrs W C Humphries is visiting her sister in Dalton. Mrs G B Pledger and children and Miss Marjorie Wilks returned to Emerson Saturday after a visit to Mrs Penn Mitchell. Eugene Ray returned to Hopkinsville to resume his duties as commander of the Military Dept of South Ky College. He was accompanied by Mercer Phillips who will enter school. Misses Maud Dillard and Ruby Proctor arrived in Acworth Friday afternoon to take their places in the Smith Lemon Institute as teachers. Mrs Addie McCalla of Atlanta visited relatives here last week. Mrs W C Humphries gave a delightful entertainment at the Hotel Dismukes last Thursday evening in honor of her guest Mrs Newman. Miss Florence Watson rendered several instrumental piano solos. Mrs Sain and Mrs Watson two piano duets. Mrs Humphries sang and Mrs Newman delighted all the guests with her charming singing her voice is rich and sweet. Delicious refreshments were served.
