Quite a large crowd was present and all enjoyed the day. We are all sorry to lose Mr Kemp for he is a young man of high quality. Dock Chalker and wife of Shiloh visited Mr Jordan and family here Sunday. John Glore and family visited their daughter, Mrs Ruff, at Marietta Sunday. Mr Jordan and wife visited their daughter at Kennesaw Sunday, Mrs John Brinkley. Miss Annie Brinkley of Kennesaw visited Mr C F Goodson here Sunday. - School Girl LOST MOUNTAIN Chas Wright has built a new barn. Roderick Harper of the Gate City is here on a visit. The Lost Mountain Excelsior Literary Club captured the banner and two medals at the Cobb county Literary Convention. Lost Mountain always gets them when it goes after them. One medal was won for having the best music, the other was won by Steve Moon for the boy under 15 years having the best speech. A young man called at the home of the writer last Wednesday. He was a stranger and has nothing to say. From the best we could learn he has relatives in the community. He is still here and we will let him remain until we can find out more about him. The first season of rain since April fell here last week. This will insure turnips and increase the forage crop. R H Orr closed his school here the 22nd inst. He is studying for the ministry and will return to Union Seminary at Richmond, Virginia. W T Rolinson has rented a farm near Hiram and will move there. Quite a large crowd of our young people attended the literary convention at Marietta Camp Ground. H H Green was at home Sunday.
