The bride has many accomplishments and is the possessor of those talents which are needed to make a good wife. The groom is one of Mars Hill's most prosperous young farmers and an excellent gentlemen. The marriage of Miss Ella Smith of this city to Mr Ed. Williams of Marietta was solemnized on last Thursday afternoon at 2 o'clock at her mother's beautiful home by Rev A J Morgan. The bride is a charming and attractive young lady and a great favorite among the young people of Acworth. The groom is one of Marietta's most progressive business men and popular in society. We congratulate both couples and hope that they may live long lives and that their sky may be darkened by just enough clouds to cause them to enjoy the sunshine. DUE WEST Misses Eliza Dickson and Dora Green and Mr Willie Orr are on a visit to relatives in Clayton County. Misses Mattie Adair and brother, Calvin, have returned from a two week's visit to relatives in Fayette County. Cicero and James Meeks have gone to Etowah County, Ala., for the holidsys. FROM A TOWNSHIP NOT LISTED ON COPY Mr Walter Tolleson and Mr Newton of Atlanta visited Mr A O Tolleson last Sunday. We have a good Sunday School at Noonday. Miss Lizzie York visited friends at Holly Springs last week. Miss Esther Mason of Holly Springs visited her many friends here last week. Miss Sallie Reed is visiting relatives and friends in Acworth. - Rex FROM ANOTHER TOWNSHIP NOT LISTED ON COPY Mrs Joe Grizzard, who has been very sick for several weeks past, is reported slowly improving. We learn that our genial friend and neighbor, Mr G M Barker, will soon move his family to Worth County, Ga. Mr Eddie Baswell, who has been absent for several months visiting friends and relatives in Kansas City, has returned home again. Eddie is a great "Guy" and I am told that he is casting "sheep eyes" at several of his old flames already. Ring off, me boy! Ring off! The many friends of Miss Coral Reed will regret to learn that she is quite ill at this writing. Rev Mr Hanson, newly appointed pastor for the Methodist churches of Smyrna circuit, preached his first sermon to his charge at this place last Sunday night. Rev C T A Pise of Marietta conducted the evening prayer service of the Episcopal church Sunday afternoon at the Presbyterian house of worship. A large congregation was present, to many of whom the service was new and strange. The many acquaintances of Mrs Dr John Nelms will be pained to learn that she has been very sick and is but little improved at this time.
