DUE SOUTH

MARRIED - Mr N H STEWART to Miss Winnie B RATTERREE at the residence of Mr Font
LEGG, on last Sunday morning, Rev T R MORGAN officiating.  Mr N H STEWART is one
among our leading citizens and best farmers and is now running one among the
most successful dairy farms in our county.  The bride is no less qualified to
manage and perform the domestic duties required at the hands of a lady
possessing the charming accomplishments as the one now the bride of this young,
bright and energetic young man.  May peace, prosperity and happiness reign
supreme, and comfort and heaven be their lot.

Mr Ed CROW, one of our cleverest citizens, after years of labor and toil as a
farmer, observing prosperous times and disastrous times, making good crops and
bad crops, come to the front this year with -- feet cotton.  A man never gets
too old to make a good farmer.

Rev T R MORGAN preached one of his usual fine sermons at Milford last Sunday. 
The meeting will be protracted during this week.  The impressive sermons that
have been delivered to the large congregations are having a telling effect.

Mrs HAMILTON and her daughter, Miss Delia, of Marietta, returned home Sunday
after a pleasant visit of a week among relatives in our vicinity.

Remember Friday is the day for cleaning off the Maloney grave yard.  Let all
come and bring tools and two or three wheelbarrows.

Let every body prepare to attend the county debate at New Hope the 9th of October.
