From the Marietta Journal & Courier dated Friday, October 19 1917:

DUE WEST

Rev W E McCOLLUM will preach here again the second Sunday in November at 11 am.
 We greatly appreciate Mr McCOLLUM's offer to come over and preach once a month
for the people here.

Mr KEMP of Benson gave a Bible Study at the home of Mr C L MEEK Sunday afternoon.

Mrs Maunervie KEMP's many friends will regret to learn of her serious illness at
this time.

Mr H L MAYES happened to a painful accident here Saturday morning by a hog
throwing against a wire fence, cutting two bad gashes across the back of his
hand.  It took four stitches to have it sewed up.

Mr Johnson WILLIAMS went to Atlanta last week and bought two fine draft horses.
