She was a life-long member of the Baptist church and consecrated christian. She was the daughter of Joshua WELCH, deceased, formerly of Marietta, and widow of C B YORK. The remains of the deceased were interred at New Salem. Rev Jud MORGAN officiated at the funeral. She leaves 10 or 12 children, all grown, two in Arkansas, one in Texas, one in Alabama, and the rest are living here. We extend our sympathy to the bereaved. Rev R B SARGEANT, assisted by Rev WOOTEN, of Norcross, has just closed a series of meetings at New Salem. Ten were added to the church. Miss E A DICKSON is spending a few days with relatives in Walker and Floyd counties. Mr Iverson BORNE, of Rockdale county, who has been visiting Judge BORNE, has returned home. Mr J C HARRIS, while driving an unruly cow, in jumping a ditch, broke his leg just above the ankle, both bones being fractured and one protruding through the skin. Dr BROOKS set the leg.
