He had been in feeble health for some time and his death was not unexpected to his relatives and friends. The funeral services were conducted by Rev G T Bourne on Wednesday afternoon and he was laid to rest in Mars Hill cemetery. He leaves a wife and seven children to mourn his death and to whom we extend our sympathy. Mr C P McLain was walking through the yard at his home on Sunday afternoon, when he slipped on the ice and fell, cutting a gash in his forehead and bruising himself up in such a way as to render him helpless. He is confined to his bed, but it is hoped he will be up in a few days. - Dixie LOST MOUNTAIN Mr Senate Goodwin of Knoxville, Tenn., came down last week to spend a few days with his parents, Mr and Mrs J S Goodwin. Mr W T Robinson's family are recovering from a severe spell of grip. Mr Sam Collins has been confined to his bed for several days with grip.
