THE FREY FAMILY REUNION

On last Saturday there was a family reunion and barbecue at the home of Mr W M
FREY, three miles east of Marietta, in honor of Col Ed W FREY and family, who
were here on a visit from Bockchito, I T.  It was a very happy occasion and will
not soon be forgotton.  A splendid barbecue added to the sumptuous dinner served
of meats, delicacies, melons and fruits.

Mr and Mrs W M FREY moved from South Carolina in 1856 to Cobb county, and
settled where they now live, having reached the age of 74 and 78 years,
respectively.  They raised a family of nine, 4 boys and 5 girls, all of whom
lived to be grown, six now living, as follows:  W J FREY, the efficient Sheriff
of this county; B T FREY, a prominent attorney of Marietta; E W FREY, Cashier of
the First National Bank of Bockchito, Indian Territory; Mrs B J HAMBY, Mrs N B
WHITE, and Mrs C J BULLARD.  The husband of the daughters are now living, and
are successful farmers in this county.  There were born to these sons and
daughters 40 grandchildren, 32 of whom are living.

There were present at this very pleasant reunion, Mr and Mrs W M FREY, their six
children, their wives and husbands and 27 grandchildren, and a number of
friends, among whom were Mr J L REED, Deputy Sheriff W T DEWBERRY, Judge P D
McCLESKEY, Mr Claud BISHOP, Miss Lula HAMBY, Mrs BARRETT, Mrs Leila GRIST of
Marietta; Mrs RHODES and Mrs BREWER of Atlanta; Miss Nellie and Annie DOW and
Miss DESMOND of Augusta, and Mr and Mrs Harry ROBERTSON of Lo-i-, Ga.
