Few Marietta boys have seen the world as he has. It will be remembered that Mr GROVES was on the wonderful battleship, Oregon, that made its famous race from South America to Cuba to assist in the sinking of Cervera's Fleet in the Spanish-American war. Recently retiring from the navy after 31 years of service, Sec, Josephus DANIELS extends congratulations for the splendid service he has given, contributing much to the upbuilding of the Navy and its present state of efficiency.
