Mrs J E LESTER and Mrs B F HUGHES spent Tuesday in Atlanta. Mr Willard KITCHEN, who is now on a visit to his mother Mrs Rachael KITCHEN was recently hurt while at work in La Grange. His mother and brother, T F KITCHEN, went to see him and to visit other relatives at LaGrange. Mr and Mrs John ELLISON are in South Georgia on a visit to relatives. Mr ELLISON has sold his farm here and probably besides visiting he had gone to see the country and if he locates there Cobb county will lose one of its best citizens. Mr and Mrs Albert BENSON have returned from Wyoming and spent Tuesday here with relatives. Mr and Mrs John BUNKLEY of Shiloh spent Sunday here with Mr J R BUNKLEY and family. It was Mr Luther ABERCROMBIE who bought the S J CASON farm here and not Mr Henry GOODWIN. Mr ABERCROMBIE is a son in law of Mr GOODWIN and we are glad to know that Mr GOODWIN will make his home with his daughter, Mrs Dessie GOODWIN ABERCROMBIE when she and her husband move here. Mr Cicero COX, son of Mr and Mrs A J COX of Raglin, Ala., has been here on a visit and I sure have not forgot the town name Raglin when it all rags at our house. Mrs Gus ROBBERSON of Atlanta is with her sister, Mrs J H OWEN, who has been quite sick. Mr Carl REID writes to his aunt, Mrs Lou TRIPPE, that he is enjoying life fine in the Navy. He is at Norfolk, Va. Mr and Mrs W H CASON and daughter of Atlanta spent Sunday week with Miss Mamie McREA. Miss Mary CASON lost a stick pin that was her grandmother CASON's between home of Miss McREA and Mr J P McGEE. Mr and Mrs M A COOLEY have moved to Marietta. We regret to lose this estimable family and can recommend them to the best people of Marietta. Since Mr Otis LEONARD was drafted in the army, Mr Mims GARRETT of Woodstock has moved here and occupies the same building over Dr LESTER as a barber shop. Those coming up from Camp Wheeler to spend Sunday were Messrs Ed SKELTON, Annis FOWLER, Harry BOZEMAN, Roy GATLIN, Hollis LENNARD, Will YOUNG and Mr FRAZZER. They are all looking well, and Mr E G HILL was admiring Mr Ed SKELTON's overcoat and wished he had one when our friend Ed offered him the overcoat and his place at Camp Wheeler both. But Mr HILL prefers staying in Kennesaw where our days are all meatless and tater and gingercake abound. Mrs Burt HILDERBRAND is quite sick at her home in Atlanta. Her mother, Mrs H M GATLIN, and her sisters, Misses Lucy and Bessie GATLIN, are with her. The many friends here hope for a safe recovery. Mrs George SKELTON was sick Monday. Her friends hope that she will be able to be out in a few days. Mrs Joe WINGO of Tunnell Hill is visiting her daughter, Mrs Will CHASTAIN. Mrs WINGO will be remembered by the older people as Miss Melisa SUMMERS and spent her young womanhood on her father's farm just below town now owned by Mr W B STEPHENS. -Gipsy File at: http://files.usgwarchives.net/ga/cobb/newspapers/kennesaw2470gnw.txt This file has been created by a form at http://www.genrecords.org/gafiles/ File size: 3.6 Kb
