The funeral was conducted at the Baptist church by Rev G S BOND, after which the interment was at the family burying grounds. Mr CROWDER was reared here and was the son of Mr and Mrs Jasper CROWDER. After he entered manhood he has been away in Alabama and California, where he held a position. And after his health failed, in company with his brother, Mr Will CROWDER, they went to California thinking perhaps Wadey as he was familiarly known here among his childhood friends, would be restored to health. But the time had come and he was ready and willing to go to meet Mother and brothers, who have only preceeded a few years. He is survived by his father and three brothers, Mr Wayne CROWDER of Marietta, Mr A Y CROWDER of Cartersville, and Mr Will CROWDER and one sister-in-law, Mrs Exa CROWDER of Alabama, who have the sympathy of their many friends. We are glad to know that Mr Wilson GRIGGS is once more at home; as a child I use to read Amor, of Due West, what he wrote and not only was Amor a good correspondent but he put life into the annual Journal picnic for he would have boiled a whole ham and carried out to be placed on the table. I hope the editor's mouth is craving some of that ham for with the war and high prices of meat that time past. Mr Henry BROCK and Mr Guy BORING, who went to Colorado last fall with Mrs Jane BROCK, have both enlisted in the army out west. Mr Claud BOND, son of Rev G S BOND, is now in France. He has been over about ten weeks. Claud at the time of his enlistment was working in Atlanta in a bakery and the government sent him out west where he graduated in the bakery business before sailing for France. Herman THOMAS, son of Mr and Mrs Dallas THOMAS, is now in France. Herman had a position in Atlanta at the time of his enlistment in the Navy. His brother Joe who lived with his mother, was at San Domingo. Joe enlisted in the Navy last spring and each of these young men was sent a box of cake by their aunt, Miss Nannie ROBERTS, before Xmas. Mr Bud HOWELL has returned home after a visit to his son at Rome. Mr Pola ARRINGTON of Powder Springs was up last week and while here was the guest of Joe SIWARD and W F TRIPP. -Gipsy File at: http://files.usgwarchives.net/ga/cobb/newspapers/kennesaw2490gnw.txt This file has been created by a form at http://www.genrecords.org/gafiles/ File size: 3.0 Kb
